The preparer of this report has noted that the helicopter is covered by a [pdb_name] that is assumed to be fully transferrable.  Under an hourly maintenance program (HMP), a predetermined hourly payment for the HMP-covered part is made for each flight hour that part has flown.  This ensures that its major overhaul and/or time retirement is accomplished at the proper interval, with the parts provided by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or their designated authorized service center.  The HMP-covered parts and components are therefore considered always to be either actually in, or to be qualified for restoration to, a “zero” or “low” time service life condition.  They each retain a higher dollar value, regardless of their actual service life status, by virtue of remaining in “like new” condition as a result of the paid-up HMP.  This program will remain in effect as long as payments are current with the provider.
