How does HeliCalc® calculate equipment specific to my helicopter's configuration?
Question:
How does HeliCalc® calculate equipment specific to my helicopter's configuration?
Answer:
While you do choose a configuration in the Aircraft Info section of HeliCalc®, this is just a label that is used in the final report that is generated. The value of specific mission equipment is calculated in the Optional Equipment section of HeliCalc®. For example, if you choose EMS as your configuration in the Aircraft Info section you will have to enter installed equipment specific to that configuration in Optional Equipment section. In some cases, you will be required to enter the age of the equipment. EMS equipment is a good example. HeliCalc® will depreciate equipment value based on its age. If you are unsure of the age of your equipment, enter the airframe year of manufacture.
